How to Use

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling the pen needle.
2. Remove the protective tab from the outer needle cap and screw the pen needle onto your insulin pen until secure.
3. Remove the outer cap and then the inner needle shield, being careful not to bend the needle.
4. Perform an air shot (prime the pen) as recommended by your healthcare professional or insulin pen manufacturer to ensure proper flow.
5. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab and let it air dry.
6. Pinch up a fold of skin at the injection site (if recommended by your doctor) and insert the needle straight in at a 90-degree angle.
7. Press the injection button on your pen and hold until the full dose is delivered. Wait a few seconds before withdrawing the needle.
8. Immediately after injection, carefully remove the needle from the pen and dispose of it in a sharps container.
