How to Use
Administer 1 dose per bird. The vaccine should be reconstituted carefully according to the chosen administration route:
- Preparation:
- Ensure all vaccination equipment is clean and free of disinfectants.
- Open the vaccine vial under water to avoid aerosol formation.
- Use cool, clean, non-chlorinated water, preferably distilled or de-ionized water, for reconstitution.
- Administration via Drinking Water:
- Deprive birds of drinking water for 1-2 hours prior to vaccination to ensure adequate thirst.
- Add the reconstituted vaccine to a volume of water that birds will consume within 1-2 hours.
- Distribute the vaccine water evenly throughout the drinkers, ensuring all birds have access.
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
- Administration via Ocular/Nasal Route:
- Reconstitute the vaccine in a sterile diluent (e.g., physiological saline).
- Use a standardized dropper to administer one drop (approximately 0.03 ml) into one eye or nostril.
- Ensure the drop is fully absorbed before releasing the bird.
- Administration via Spray:
- Reconstitute the vaccine in cool, clean, non-chlorinated water.
- Use a coarse spray applicator, ensuring uniform coverage over the flock.
- Ensure good ventilation and minimal stress during administration.
Caution & Warnings
- Administer only to healthy birds.
- Observe strict aseptic precautions during reconstitution and administration.
- Do not store reconstituted vaccine; use immediately.
- Incinerate or dispose of unused vaccine and empty vials according to local regulations.
- Avoid vaccination during periods of extreme stress for the birds.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Personnel handling the vaccine should avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
