How to Use

1. Always wear protective gloves before handling the casting tape to prevent resin contact with skin.
2. Apply a stockinette and appropriate cast padding evenly over the affected limb, ensuring adequate protection and cushioning.
3. Immerse the DELTACAST ELITE roll in room-temperature water (21-24C) for 5-10 seconds. Gently squeeze the roll a few times to ensure complete saturation of the resin.
4. Apply the tape immediately in a circumferential manner, overlapping each layer by one-half to two-thirds the width of the tape. Maintain even tension to avoid constriction.
5. Mold the cast to the desired anatomical shape within 3-5 minutes before the resin begins to set.
6. Allow the cast to fully harden. Weight-bearing casts typically achieve functional strength within 20-30 minutes, but complete cure can take up to 24 hours.

Caution & Warnings

• Do not apply DELTACAST ELITE directly to the skin; always use appropriate stockinette and padding.
• Avoid excessive tension during application to prevent circulatory compromise or nerve damage.
• Monitor the patient for signs of discomfort, numbness, tingling, or changes in skin color, and seek immediate medical attention if any occur.
• The casting tape generates a mild exothermic reaction when activated with water; ensure proper ventilation during application.
