How to Use

1. Prepare the Area: Ensure the patient's skin is clean, dry, and protected. Apply a suitable stockinette and adequate cast padding smoothly over the affected limb, avoiding wrinkles.
2. Activate the Tape: Wearing protective gloves, open the DELTACAST ELITE package. Immerse the roll in room temperature water (approximately 20-24°C) for 5-10 seconds, gently squeezing the roll to ensure complete water saturation.
3. Apply the Cast: Remove the roll from the water, gently squeeze out excess water, and immediately begin applying the tape. Wrap the tape in a spiral fashion, overlapping each previous layer by one-half to two-thirds its width. Ensure smooth, even tension.
4. Mold and Set: Continue molding the cast to the desired anatomical shape using smooth, firm strokes within 3-5 minutes of application. Ensure a snug but not constrictive fit. The cast will begin to set rapidly.
5. Cure Time: Allow the cast to set completely. It will be rigid enough for weight-bearing in approximately 20-30 minutes, with full strength achieved within 24 hours.
