How to Use:
- 1. Ensure the patient's skin is clean and dry. Apply a stockinette and appropriate cast padding over the affected limb.
- 2. Wear protective gloves. Submerge the DELTACAST PRINTS Casting Tape roll in water (20-24°C) for 5-10 seconds, squeezing gently to remove excess water.
- 3. Immediately begin wrapping the tape around the limb, overlapping each layer by approximately one-half to two-thirds the width of the tape.
- 4. Mold the cast to the desired shape as you apply, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit.
- 5. Allow the cast to set for approximately 3-5 minutes for initial hardening. Full weight-bearing strength is typically achieved within 20-30 minutes.
Caution & Warnings:
- Always apply with appropriate medical supervision.
- Ensure adequate ventilation during application to minimize exposure to fumes.
- Avoid direct skin contact with the activated resin; use protective gloves.
- Do not apply too tightly, as this may impair circulation; check for signs of neurovascular compromise.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and keep sealed until ready for use.
