How to Use DYNACAST PRELUDE Acute Synthetic Fibreglass Padded Precut Splint

4. Immerse the splint in clean water (approximately 21-24°C) for 3 to 5 seconds. Gently squeeze the splint to remove excess water.
5. Apply the splint immediately to the injured limb, molding it carefully and evenly to the desired contour. Ensure the padded side is against the skin.
6. Smooth the splint thoroughly to ensure good lamination and adhesion.
7. Secure the splint in place with an appropriate conforming bandage, ensuring even compression.
8. Allow approximately 3 to 4 minutes for the splint to set, depending on water temperature. Full weight-bearing strength is typically achieved in 20-30 minutes.
