6. Secure the splint in place with a conforming bandage or elastic wrap, applying gentle, even pressure until the splint becomes rigid (typically within 3-5 minutes).
7. Support the limb in the desired position until the splint is fully set.
8. Instruct the patient on proper care and signs of complications, and schedule follow-up.
