How to Use
- 1. Prepare the affected limb: Ensure the skin is clean and dry. Apply appropriate stockinette or additional padding if necessary, especially over bony prominences.
- 2. Measure and cut: Unroll the desired length of DYNACAST PRELUDE splinting material, ensuring it adequately covers the injured area. Cut with appropriate shears.
- 3. Activate with water: Briefly immerse the splint roll in room temperature water for 5-10 seconds, squeezing gently to ensure complete saturation.
- 4. Remove excess water: Squeeze out any excess water from the splint.
- 5. Apply and mould: Immediately apply the splint to the injured area. Carefully mould it to the contours of the limb, ensuring proper alignment and support.
- 6. Set and secure: Hold the splint in position until it becomes rigid, typically within 3-5 minutes. Secure with a bandage or wrap to maintain proper position.
- 7. Patient instructions: Advise the patient on proper care, signs of complications, and follow-up appointments.

- Do not apply too tightly, as this can impair circulation.
