How to Use

1. Ensure proper hand hygiene and strictly adhere to sterile technique throughout the procedure.
2. Prepare the patient and the urethral insertion site according to established medical protocols and antiseptic guidelines.
3. Lubricate the catheter tip generously with a sterile, water-soluble lubricating jelly to facilitate smooth insertion.
4. Gently insert the catheter into the urethra until a steady flow of urine is observed, indicating the tip has reached the bladder.
5. Inflate the retention balloon with the recommended volume of sterile water (as indicated on the catheter hub) via the inflation port, ensuring the catheter is securely anchored in the bladder.
6. Connect the drainage lumen of the catheter to a compatible, sterile urine collection bag.
7. Secure the catheter to the patient's thigh or abdomen using an appropriate catheter fixation device to prevent accidental dislodgement.
8. Regularly monitor urine output and maintain meticulous catheter and periurethral hygiene as per medical instructions to prevent complications.
