ANGIPLAST IV Cannula 24G - Reliable Intravenous Access

The ANGIPLAST IV Cannula 24G offers reliable and comfortable intravenous access for medical professionals.
Featuring a sharp, precision-ground needle and a flexible, kink-resistant catheter, it ensures smooth venipuncture and continuous, unobstructed fluid flow for various medical applications.
Each cannula is manufactured to the highest sterile standards, individually packed in a blister pack, and distinctly color-coded yellow (24G) for quick and easy identification, enhancing workflow efficiency and patient safety.
Designed for optimal patient comfort and secure placement, the ANGIPLAST IV Cannula is an essential tool for effective fluid management and medication administration.

Benefits of Use:

  • Ensures smooth and comfortable venipuncture, minimizing patient discomfort.
  • Provides reliable and secure intravenous access for extended periods.
  • Flexible catheter reduces the risk of kinking and improves patient mobility.
  • Color-coded hub (yellow for 24G) allows for rapid and accurate size identification.
  • Sterile and individually packed, ensuring maximum hygiene and preventing contamination.
  • Sharp needle facilitates easy insertion, reducing trauma to the vein.

How to Use:

  1. Prepare the site: Ensure strict aseptic technique. Clean the skin at the insertion site with an antiseptic solution and allow it to dry.
  2. Apply tourniquet: Place a tourniquet proximal to the intended insertion site to distend the vein.
  3. Select vein: Choose an appropriate vein for cannulation.
  4. Insert cannula: With the bevel of the needle facing up, stabilize the vein and insert the cannula at an appropriate angle (typically 10-30 degrees) until a flashback of blood is observed in the flashback chamber.
  5. Advance catheter: Lower the angle and advance the catheter a few more millimeters into the vein. Then, carefully thread the plastic catheter completely into the vein while simultaneously withdrawing the needle.
  6. Secure cannula: Activate the safety mechanism (if present) on the needle and dispose of it properly. Connect the IV line or cap the cannula. Secure the catheter with appropriate sterile dressing and tape.
  7. Document: Record the date, time, size, and location of insertion.

Caution & Warnings:

  • This product is for single-use only. Do not re-sterilize or reuse.
  • Do not use if the individual sterile packaging is damaged or opened.
  • Ensure the cannula is inserted by trained medical professionals using aseptic technique.
  • Improper insertion or care may lead to complications such as infection, phlebitis, or extravasation.
  • Check the expiry date before use.
  • Dispose of used cannulas in appropriate sharps containers.
