How to Use

1. Prepare: Ensure hands are clean, and gather all necessary equipment, including the IV fluid bag, I.V. set, and alcohol swabs.
2. Inspect: Check the I.V. set packaging for integrity and expiry date. Do not use if damaged or expired.
3. Spike Fluid Bag: Remove the protective cap from the I.V. set spike and the port of the IV fluid bag. Insert the spike firmly into the port with a twisting motion.
4. Prime the Set: Close the roller clamp. Invert the fluid bag and hang it. Squeeze the drip chamber to fill it halfway. Slowly open the roller clamp to allow fluid to flow through the tubing, expelling all air bubbles. Close the clamp once primed.
5. Connect to Patient: Prepare the patient's IV access site with an antiseptic solution. Connect the luer lock connector of the I.V. set to the patient's IV catheter or port.
6. Initiate Infusion: Open the roller clamp to the desired flow rate, monitoring the drip chamber and patient's response.
