Reduces patient discomfort during insertion and throughout the duration of intravenous therapy.

Ensures reliable and consistent fluid flow, crucial for accurate medication delivery and hydration.

Minimizes the risk of infection and complications due to sterile, single-use packaging.

Clear flash-back chamber provides immediate visual confirmation of blood, indicating successful vein entry.

Flexible catheter material reduces the risk of kinking and improves dwell time.

How to Use

  1. Perform thorough hand hygiene and don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves.
  2. Select the appropriate vein for cannulation and apply a tourniquet proximal to the chosen site.
  3. Cleanse the venipuncture site thoroughly with an antiseptic solution according to standard protocols and allow it to dry.
  4. Stabilize the vein and insert the needle, bevel up, through the skin and into the vein.
  5. Observe for flashback in the flashback chamber, indicating successful vein entry, then advance the catheter slightly.
  6. Carefully thread the catheter into the vein while slowly withdrawing the needle completely into the safety mechanism or hub.
  7. Release the tourniquet, connect the appropriate IV line or infusion set, and secure the cannula firmly with an adhesive dressing.
  8. Dispose of the needle and all sharp waste immediately and safely into an approved sharps container.
