How to Use

1. Prepare the patient and establish a sterile field according to standard medical protocols.
2. Apply a sterile, water-soluble lubricant generously to the tip and shaft of the catheter.
3. Gently insert the catheter into the urethra until consistent urine flow is observed.
4. Advance the catheter an additional 2 to 3 centimeters to ensure the balloon is fully within the bladder.
5. Inflate the retention balloon with the appropriate volume of sterile water using a syringe, as indicated on the catheter lumen.
6. Gently withdraw the catheter until slight resistance is felt, confirming the balloon is securely seated against the bladder neck.
7. Connect the catheter to a sterile urinary drainage bag.
8. Secure the catheter to the patient's thigh or abdomen to prevent accidental dislodgement and traction.
