How to Use

1. Cleanse the wound area thoroughly according to standard clinical practice.
2. Select the appropriate dressing size ensuring that the foam pad extends at least 2 cm beyond the wound edges.
3. Remove the release films from the adhesive side of the dressing.
4. Apply the adhesive side to the skin, ensuring the dressing completely covers the wound.
5. Smooth the dressing gently from the center outwards to ensure good contact with the skin, avoiding stretching.
6. Mepilex Border Flex can be worn for several days, depending on the wound condition and exudate levels, but should be changed if exudate reaches the edge of the dressing.
7. To remove, gently lift one corner and peel the dressing back slowly.

Caution & Warnings

• Do not use on patients with a known hypersensitivity to the dressing or its components.
• Do not use with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide, as these may break down the absorbent polyurethane foam components of the dressing.
• If signs of infection occur (e.g., fever, increasing pain, redness, swelling, purulent discharge), consult a healthcare professional.
