  • Universal Compatibility: Equipped with a universal funnel connector, allowing for secure attachment to most standard suction equipment.

  • Sterile & Single-Use: Each catheter is individually packed and sterilized, guaranteeing hygienic use and preventing cross-contamination.

  • Precise Sizing: The FG 16 French Gauge size provides an ideal balance for effective suctioning in various clinical applications without causing undue discomfort.

How to Use:

  1. Preparation: Gather all necessary equipment including the ANGIPLAST Suction Catheter, suction machine, collection canister, gloves, and sterile water/saline. Wash hands thoroughly and don sterile gloves.

  2. Connect to Suction: Aseptically open the catheter package. Connect the universal funnel connector of the catheter to the tubing of the suction apparatus.

  3. Test Suction: Briefly occlude the control port (thumb control) to ensure the suction machine is functioning correctly and generating adequate vacuum.

  4. Insert Catheter: Gently insert the catheter into the patient's oral or nasal cavity, or into the tracheostomy tube, without applying suction. Advance slowly until resistance is met or the desired depth is reached.

  5. Apply Suction: Withdraw the catheter slowly while intermittently applying suction by occluding and releasing the control port. Rotate the catheter gently to suction different areas. The entire suctioning process should not exceed 10-15 seconds.

  6. Rinse & Repeat (if necessary): Rinse the catheter tip in sterile water/saline between passes to clear secretions. Repeat suctioning as needed, allowing for rest periods between passes.

  7. Disposal: After use, disconnect the catheter from the suction tubing and dispose of it immediately and safely according to hospital protocols for medical waste.
