How to Use

1. Ensure proper patient identification and prepare the venipuncture site according to established aseptic protocols.
2. Attach the appropriate BD Vacutainer needle to the holder and perform venipuncture.
3. Insert the BD Vacutainer Sodium Citrate tube into the holder, allowing the vacuum to draw blood into the tube until the designated fill line is reached, ensuring the correct blood volume.
4. Immediately after collection, gently invert the tube 5-8 times to ensure thorough and uniform mixing of blood with the anticoagulant. Avoid vigorous shaking, which can cause hemolysis.
5. Transport the collected sample to the laboratory for processing as soon as possible, adhering strictly to specified storage and transportation guidelines to maintain sample integrity.
