How to Use
- Cleanse the wound area gently with saline solution or a prescribed wound cleanser and pat dry the surrounding skin.
- Select a Mepilex Border Sacrum dressing that extends at least 1-2 cm beyond the wound edges.
- Remove the release films from the adhesive (Safetac) side of the dressing.
- Gently apply the adhesive side to the wound, ensuring full contact with the wound bed without stretching the dressing.
- Smooth the edges of the dressing onto the surrounding skin to ensure secure adhesion.
- The dressing can be left in place for several days, depending on the wound condition and exudate level. Change the dressing when exudate reaches the retention layer, typically indicated by a visible change or when clinically indicated.
