How to Use
- Cleanse the wound thoroughly with saline solution or as per local clinical practice.
- Ensure the surrounding skin is dry.
- Remove the release film from the dressing.
- Apply the Mepilex Transfer dressing with the Safetac side to the wound surface. Ensure the dressing overlaps the wound margins by at least 2 cm.
- Apply a suitable secondary absorbent dressing (e.g., Mepilex Border, Mextra Superabsorbent) over Mepilex Transfer.
- Secure the secondary dressing with a bandage or fixation tape.
- The dressing change frequency depends on the exudate level and the wound condition. It can be left in place for several days.
