Angiplast Suction Catheter FG 12-AS-01: Essential for Safe Airway Management

The Angiplast Suction Catheter FG 12-AS-01 is a sterile, single-use medical device meticulously designed for effective aspiration of secretions from the trachea and bronchial tubes. Crafted from high-quality, medical-grade PVC, this catheter ensures both patient safety and operational efficiency. It is an indispensable tool in respiratory care, facilitating clear airways in a variety of clinical settings.

Key Benefits:

  • Effective Airway Clearance: Engineered for the efficient and thorough aspiration of tracheal and bronchial secretions, improving patient respiration.
  • Patient Safety: Features an atraumatic, rounded tip and two smooth lateral eyes to minimize mucosal irritation and trauma during insertion and withdrawal.
  • Easy Identification: Equipped with a color-coded universal connector that allows for quick and accurate identification of the FG 12 size.
  • Sterile & Single-Use: Individually packaged and sterilized with Ethylene Oxide (EO) to guarantee maximum hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
  • High-Quality Material: Made from flexible, medical-grade PVC, ensuring optimal performance, patient comfort, and durability.

How to Use:

  1. 1. Prepare Equipment: Ensure the suction unit is functional and the appropriate vacuum pressure is set. Carefully open the sterile package of the Angiplast Suction Catheter FG 12 without compromising its sterility.
  2. 2. Aseptic Technique: Always maintain strict aseptic technique throughout the procedure to prevent the introduction of pathogens and minimize the risk of infection.
  3. 3. Connect to Suction: Connect the proximal end of the catheter, which features the color-coded connector, to the suction tubing securely.
  4. 4. Insert Catheter: Gently insert the catheter into the trachea or bronchial tube to the desired depth. Ensure suction is NOT applied during insertion to prevent tissue damage.
  5. 5. Apply Suction: Once the catheter is positioned, apply intermittent suction while slowly withdrawing and rotating the catheter. Limit suction time to prevent hypoxia and mucosal injury.
  6. 6. Dispose: After completing the suction procedure, disconnect the catheter from the tubing and dispose of it safely in a designated biohazard waste container, following institutional protocols.
