Angiplast Suction Catheter FG 14: Essential Airway Management

The Angiplast Suction Catheter FG 14 is a high-quality, sterile, and single-use medical device meticulously designed for the efficient aspiration of secretions from the trachea and bronchial tubes.

Crafted from medical-grade, non-toxic PVC, this catheter ensures both flexibility and durability for safe clinical use.

Its thoughtful design features an atraumatic, soft rounded open tip with two eyes, minimizing discomfort and reducing the risk of tissue trauma during insertion and suction.

The universal funnel shape connector is color-coded according to the French Gauge (FG) scale, allowing for quick and easy identification of the catheter size, enhancing user convenience and patient safety.

Ideal for maintaining clear airway patency, it is an indispensable tool in hospitals, clinics, and home care settings for patients requiring respiratory support.

Benefits of Use:

  • Ensures efficient removal of respiratory secretions, preventing airway obstruction.
  • Minimizes patient discomfort and potential trauma with its atraumatic tip design.
  • Facilitates quick and accurate size identification through color-coded connectors.
  • Made from biocompatible materials, ensuring patient safety and reducing allergic reactions.
  • Sterile and single-use design prevents cross-contamination and infection risks.

How to Use:

  1. 1. Prepare the patient by positioning them appropriately and ensuring adequate oxygenation.
  2. 2. Perform thorough hand hygiene and don sterile gloves.
  3. 3. Open the sterile packaging, carefully removing the Angiplast Suction Catheter.
  4. 4. Connect the universal funnel connector end of the catheter to the suction apparatus tubing.
  5. 5. Gently insert the catheter into the trachea or bronchial tube without applying suction.
  6. 6. Once in position, apply intermittent suction by occluding the control vent and slowly withdraw the catheter while rotating it.
  7. 7. Limit the suctioning time to avoid hypoxia, typically no more than 10-15 seconds per pass.
  8. 8. Discard the used catheter and gloves appropriately into a biohazard waste container.

Caution & Warnings:

  • For single-use only. Do not re-sterilize or reuse, as this may compromise sterility and device integrity.

  • Sterile unless the package is opened or damaged. Inspect the packaging before use.

  • Use aseptic technique during the entire procedure to prevent infection.

  • Improper use can lead to hypoxia, mucosal trauma, or infection. Use only by trained personnel.

  • Dispose of the catheter and all contaminated materials according to local clinical waste disposal regulations.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
