How to Use

1. Ensure hand hygiene and don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves.
2. Prepare the suction apparatus and verify its functionality, ensuring adequate negative pressure.
3. Open the sterile package of the ANGIPLAST Suction Catheter FG 14-AS-02 without contaminating the catheter or touching the insertion tip.
4. Connect the proximal end of the catheter to the suction tubing, ensuring a secure, airtight fit.
5. Gently insert the catheter into the patient's airway (e.g., through the nostril, mouth, or tracheal tube) to the desired depth, without applying suction.
6. Once at the desired depth, apply intermittent suction by occluding the thumb control port and slowly withdraw the catheter while rotating it gently.
7. Limit each suction pass to 10-15 seconds to prevent hypoxia or mucosal injury.
8. Allow the patient to rest and re-oxygenate between suctioning passes if multiple passes are required.
