How to Use

1. Prepare all necessary equipment, including the suction machine, collection canister, and sterile gloves.
2. Perform thorough hand hygiene and don sterile gloves.
3. Gently open the sterile packaging, being careful not to contaminate the catheter.
4. Connect the universal funnel connector of the catheter to the suction tubing.
5. Without applying suction, gently insert the catheter through the nasal passage, oral cavity, or endotracheal/tracheostomy tube until resistance is met or the desired depth is reached.
6. Apply intermittent suction by occluding the thumb control port (if present) and slowly withdraw the catheter with a rotating motion. The suctioning time should not exceed 10-15 seconds per pass.
7. Clear the catheter by suctioning sterile water between passes, if necessary.
8. Dispose of the used catheter and gloves properly in a biohazard waste container after a single use.
