How to Use

1. Prepare the Wound: Thoroughly clean and dry the wound and the surrounding skin according to standard wound care protocols.

2. Select Dressing Size: Ensure the dressing size (15x20cm) is appropriate to cover the wound completely, extending at least 2.5 cm beyond the wound margins.

3. Peel Off Liner: Peel the paper liner from the dressing, exposing the adhesive surface. Minimize contact with the adhesive to maintain sterility.

4. Apply Dressing: Position the dressing over the wound. Apply gently from the center outwards, smoothing the film to ensure good adhesion to the skin. Do not stretch the dressing during application.

5. Remove Frame: Once the dressing is securely in place, carefully remove the paper frame by peeling it away from the dressing, starting from one corner.

6. Smooth Edges: Gently press down on the entire dressing, especially the edges, to ensure a secure seal and prevent leakage.

7. Dressing Removal: To remove, gently stretch the dressing parallel to the skin and peel it back slowly, supporting the skin to minimize trauma.

Caution & Warnings

• Do not use Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing as a primary dressing on heavily draining wounds unless a secondary absorbent dressing is used underneath.

• Avoid stretching the dressing during application, as tension can cause skin trauma.

• Monitor the wound for signs of infection (e.g., redness, swelling, increased pain, pus). If infection is suspected, consult a healthcare professional immediately.
