How to Use
1. Always follow your doctor's instructions for the dose and frequency of Abrilada.2. Read the Medication Guide and Instructions for Use provided with your prescription.
3. Inspect the solution for particulate matter and discoloration; it should be clear and colorless to pale yellow.
4. Choose an injection site on your thigh or abdomen (at least 2 inches from your navel).
5. Clean the injection site with an alcohol wipe and let it dry.
6. Inject Abrilada subcutaneously as demonstrated by your healthcare provider.
7. Rotate injection sites with each dose to avoid discomfort or skin reactions.
8. Dispose of the used syringe immediately in an FDA-cleared sharps disposal container.
Caution & Warnings
- • Increased risk of serious infections, including tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria.
- • Report any signs of infection (fever, cough, flu-like symptoms, skin sores) to your doctor immediately.
- • May increase the risk of certain cancers, including lymphoma and skin cancer.
- • Can cause new or worsen existing heart failure symptoms.
- • May lead to demyelinating disorders, such as multiple sclerosis.
- • Severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, are possible. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
- • Do not receive live vaccines while taking Abrilada.
- • Discuss your medical history thoroughly with your doctor, including any past infections, heart problems, or neurological conditions.
- • Not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly needed and discussed with a healthcare professional.
