How to Use

1. Zactran should be administered as a single subcutaneous injection (under the skin).
2. The recommended dose is 6 mg gamithromycin per kg body weight, which corresponds to 1 mL of Zactran solution per 25 kg body weight.
3. Ensure strict aseptic conditions are maintained throughout the injection process to prevent local reactions and infections.
4. Consult your veterinarian for accurate diagnosis, precise dosage calculation, and proper administration techniques.
5. Do not administer more than 10 mL at a single injection site to minimize local tissue reactions.

Caution & Warnings

• For Veterinary Use Only: This product is intended solely for the treatment of animals under veterinary supervision.

• Withdrawal Periods: Observe prescribed withdrawal periods for meat and milk. Meat withdrawal period for cattle is typically 64 days. Not authorized for use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.

• Administration: Do not administer intravenously. Intravenous administration may lead to severe adverse reactions.

• Hypersensitivity: Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics or to any of the excipients.

• Storage: Keep out of reach of children and unauthorized persons. Store below 25°C, protected from light. After first opening, use within 28 days.

• Personnel Safety: In case of accidental self-injection, seek immediate medical advice and show the package leaflet or label to the physician.
