1. Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the specimen cup. 2. Open the sterile packaging carefully and remove the BD Vacutainer urine cup. 3. Instruct the patient to collect a mid-stream urine sample directly into the cup, filling it to the desired volume or up to the 120ml mark. 4. Securely close the lid of the specimen cup immediately after collection. 5. To transfer the sample, remove the protective sticker from the integrated transfer straw on the lid. 6. Insert an appropriate BD Vacutainer evacuated tube into the exposed straw opening, allowing the vacuum to draw urine into the tube. 7. Remove the filled tube, ensuring proper labeling, and dispose of the cup and straw appropriately as medical waste after use.Caution & Warnings
